Playgroup, Nursery, LKG and UKG: Which Is Right for Your Child?

If you are new to preschool, the names can be confusing. Each stage is simply built around your child's age and what they are ready to learn. Here is a friendly guide.
Playgroup (around 1.5 to 2.5 years)
This is the very first step away from home. Playgroup is all about play, songs, colours and making friends. The goal is simple: help your child feel safe, happy and comfortable in a group.
Nursery (around 2.5 to 3.5 years)
Now children begin gentle early learning. They explore shapes, sounds, rhymes and simple numbers through games. They also build everyday skills like sharing, listening and following a routine.
LKG and UKG (around 3.5 to 5.5 years)
These two years get your child ready for big school. They learn letters, numbers, reading readiness and writing, always through fun activities. By the end of UKG, most children are confident, curious and ready for Class 1.
At HelloKids Power, Yelahanka, every stage from Playgroup to UKG follows a play based approach that grows with your child. Not sure which stage fits? Tell us your child's age and we will guide you.
